St Louis Hub
Located in the Westport Area, the Hub serves St. Louis County as well as adjacent St. Charles County. In January, 2016 Judevine St. Louis County Hub was awarded a grant from St. Louis County Children’s Services which will enable the Hub to provide both in home and center-based respite care for families with children ages one through nineteen. This new service provides a “break” for the family while teaching and providing therapeutic treatment to the child with autism spectrum disorder.
Currently the St. Louis and St. Charles Hub are providing much needed support to individuals who are living in their own homes in their community. While Judevine provides appropriate staff to meet each person’s individual needs, community integration and inclusion makes this a signature service in fulfilling Judevine’s mission.
For individuals being supported though the St. Louis County Hub who are living at home with their families, support from trained Judevine staff to go into the homes and work with the individual and their families is beneficial for the family to stay together. Additionally, many other families are receiving behavioral support though in-home parent training.
The staff have additional training on how to develop a Job Preparation Program that is individualized to meet the specific needs of the individual. Staff work one-to-one with the individual to promote skills that prepare them for competitive employment and have been successful in securing opportunities in community volunteer sites.
Hub Director Darla Holloran is presently pursuing certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
